4TH GUVON SPA TO OPEN IN MAY

With Kloofzicht Spa set to open in May, Guvon Hotels & Spas now features four luxurious spas in their portfolio.

Guvon Hotel’s venture into the Spa business started with the addition of Chicama Spa to the Glenburn Lodge property in 2007, followed by Fairway Spa at The Fairway Hotel & Golf Resort in 2010. February this year saw the opening of Askari Spa at Askari Game Lodge in Magaliesberg, with Kloofzicht Spa at Kloofzicht Lodge hot on its heels, scheduled for opening in May 2011.

Adding an international flavor to the Guvon Spas group, newly appointed Spa Manager for The Fairway Spa, Josay Fernandes, boasts with positions held as Spa Director of Mandara Spa in Hawaii, Spa Chakra in San Francisco and the Hyatt Regency in Hawaii. Locally he made his mark at acclaimed Spas such as the Sanctuary Spa group and Arabella Spa. Josay has nine years experience in the spa industry and is well known for keeping up to date with all the new spa trends and showing innovation. Josay further has broad product knowledge and training in Elemis, Le Therapie, Phytomer, Jurlique, Sonya Dakar, June Jacobs, Anne Semonin, St Barth, Theravine, Matis, Dermalogica, Skin Doctors and Kerstin Florian skin lines.
